Turkey and bean paleo meatloaf

Turkey meatloaf. High protein, low carb meal.



Turkey Meatloaf

I like this recipe for huge protein boosts and the leftover factor. And almost no carbs. I pair it with a salad.

  • 2 medium onions
  • olive oil
  • sea salt and fresh pepper
  • cumin
  • coriander
  • bread crumbs
  • oregano
  • mustard (good German or French)
  • 1- 1.5 pounds of ground turkey
  • large egg
  • garlic
  • fresh chile
  • paprika
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • can of garbonzo beans, drained
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (or fresh chopped)
  • balsamic vinegar
  • fresh rosemary
  • 12 pieces of good smoked bacon
  • 1 lemon


To Make

Oven to 475. Peel and chop one of the onions. Fry them up with olive oil and some S & P. Add cumin and coriander and stir until soft, then place in a bowl to cool. Add bread crumbs to bowl of onions with oregano, mustard and ground turkey. Add egg and S & P. Mix it up with your hands and mold it into a loaf shape. Rub it with oil. Put into preheated oven and turn down temperature to 400. Bake for 30 min.


Chop other onion. Peel and slice garlic. Slice red chile. Place onion, garlic, and chile on a pan with medium heat and some olive oil, paprika, S & P. Cook and stir for 7 min. Add Worcestershire sauce, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and vinegar. Bring to boil, turn heat down and simmer for 10 min.


Remove loaf from the oven. Spoon the sauce around the meatloaf and lay the bacon over top. Scatter the rosemary leaves, and put back in the oven for 10-15 min.
