Solid Surface Shower Bench and Stool

I enjoy a spacious shower for some reason. Most times I am just in for a quick scrub and I am out in under 5 minutes. But there are other times when I need to feel the hot water and steam with no limit on time. So most of the time shower benches are used for products and not sitting. But having the option to lounge out on a bench under a hot rain shower is about perfect.

When I built my shower I decided against building in a place for products. Instead I decided to build something more versatile that could even be used outside of the shower if needed. Again solid surface was used due its non porous and easy to clean characteristics. The table surface is friction fit into the base so it just lifts off without worry of it falling off. So for cleaning this is perfect, just lift it off and wash it. Even put it into the dishwasher if desired.

To be honest, I did not do any research with this project. I just wanted a bench for the shower for the times that I wanted to relax, so I built one. It turns out that I am not alone, and there are others that feel the same way. Also, there are a lot of people that shower together, and having a bench just gives them more options.
